How we review
Our editorial policy: independent listings, no pay-for-ranking, clearly labelled sponsorship and a simple corrections process.
Independent
AgIndex is independent. No tool provider, dealer or sponsor can pay to change what we say about a product or where it ranks.
How a tool gets listed
- Basic listings are free. Anyone can submit a tool.
- We check each listing against the provider's own website: what it does, whether it's available in Australia, and any public AUD pricing. If we can't support a claim, we leave it out.
- Every tool page shows the source we used and the date it was last checked.
Sponsored content is always labelled
- Featured listings, newsletter sponsorships and sponsored reviews are clearly marked "Sponsored" or "Featured".
- Featured placement can change position on a page, but never changes our descriptions or assessments.
- Sponsored reviews remain under our editorial control.
- Affiliate links, if used, are labelled.
Sources
Guides cite their sources with links, preferring manufacturers, GRDC, government and industry bodies. We don't invent statistics.
Used machinery listings
Every listing is checked before it goes live, photos must be the seller's own, and listings expire after 90 days. See the listing rules.
Corrections
If something is wrong or out of date, tell us. Providers can request corrections the same way. We aim to review corrections within a week and update the "last checked" date.
Conflicts of interest
AgIndex doesn't list fertiliser products and will disclose any relationship with a company featured on the site.
